Girls and Science: An Electrifying DUO! Our trainer Johanne Côté and our co-founder Mirjam Fines-Neuschild, accompanied by Chloé Neuschild (her 6-year-old daughter), had a booth at the event "Girls and Science: An Electrifying DUO!" organized by the Technosciences network at Polytechnique Montréal on November 19th. This event was an opportunity to create a matching game of inspiring scientists that was well appreciated by the participants, parents and accompanying persons. We (especially Chloé) are really looking forward to the next edition! Visit to FIU, Miami Mirjam Fines-Neuschild, co-founder of Parité sciences, and Stéphanie Luna, director of operations, were at Florida International University at the end of February to meet Zahra Hazari and Geoff Potvin of the STEM Transformation Institute , and also founder and founder of the STEP UP project. STEP UP is a sister initiative that aims to raise awareness and equip high school teachers about the underrepresentation of women in physics in the United States. Since the founding of Parité sciences, STEP UP has always been a generous partner with its knowledge and time. This short stay lived up to their reputation! Conference at Collège Bois de Boulogne Marylou Fournier-Tondreau and Johanne Côté had the pleasure of giving a conference at Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne on February 21! Students in natural sciences, computer science and mathematics, and technical programs in technology were present. Topics such as diversity in science, particularly in artificial intelligence, as well as gender stereotypes when choosing a career were discussed with this large audience of around a hundred students.

EDI Visit to Rivière-du-Loup and Lévis Our co-founder Mirjam Fines-Neuschild was at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) on March 1st and 2nd to learn more about the realities of certain regions of Quebec. In Lévis, Anne-Marie Ouellet, EDI advisor at UQAR, organized a meeting with stakeholders involved in recruitment and collaboration with surrounding CEGEPs (Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon, Cégep de Thetford, Cégep Beauce-Appalaches). In Rimouski, Maxence St-Onge, EDI advisor at the Institut des sciences de la mer (ISMER), organized a day of meetings including a tour of the Collège de Rimouski, which includes a CEGEP, continuing education programs, and the Institut maritime du Québec. Delighted by the richness of the discussions, Mirjam and the PS team thank Anne-Marie, Maxence and the people they met for their warm welcome.
