What is the Parithèque?

The Parithèque is an open-access digital library designed by Parité Sciences to centralize inclusive educational resources.

Why the Parithèque?

Teachers and educational professionals play a vital role in developing young people's scientific identities. However, feedback from the field reveals a major constraint: a lack of time to research suitable tools and organize inclusive educational activities.

This is where the Parithèque comes in:

1. A centralized database, where resources are aligned with educational programs from all levels of education.

2. A considerable time saver, by bringing together in one place relevant and up-to-date content in the fields of science and technology.

3. Immediate accessibility , allowing people working with young people to easily integrate these tools into their practice.

What can be found in the Parithèque ?

Rigorously selected, the available resources were developed by more than 60 institutions and organizations, mostly from Quebec, committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in science and engineering. To date, the Parithèque offers approximately 100 educational tools, and its content continues to be regularly expanded to meet the needs of the educational community.

Each tool is linked to one of the 10 strategies aimed at developing women's scientific identities and fostering inclusive learning environments where everyone belongs and can thrive. Accessible online on the Parité sciences website, without subscription or registration required, the Parithèque offers:

• Intuitive organization: resources are classified by theme and format for simplified navigation.

• A powerful search engine: it allows content to be filtered according to the specific needs of users, thus facilitating access to the most relevant tools.

• Quick and efficient access: in just a few clicks, you will find resources adapted to your educational context and aligned with an EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) approach.
